The Rotary Movement DeviceTM (RMD) and Rotary Movement Device MotorizedTM (RMDM) serve as coupling devices that provide an adjustable offset range and greater flexibility for two or more instruments. By coupling multiple units at their respective entrance and exit apertures, you can co-align three or more optical axes.
Notable application samples include:
Boresighting: The RMD allows multiple detectors or imagers to be accurately aligned to a single target for applications in Electro-optic directors and targeting systems.
Laser beam delivery: When used within the Articulated Arm Beam Delivery System (AABM), equipped with PLX’s precision Hollow Penta Mirrors (HPM), a laser beam can be delivered accurately to any point in 3D space. Use it for laser machine/engraving applications or optical inspection such as interferometry, flatness measurements, and much more.
