We are looking for an Optician to lead an Optical Shop to join our team, with ample opportunity for growth within the company. The successful Optician performs complex optical processes to the highest levels of accuracy, including but not limited to coring, sawing, curve generating, Plano generating, blocking, grinding, polishing, MRF operation, testing, cleaning, assembly, plus other related and similar duties. Performs a wide variety of complex set ups and operates optical fabrications equipment on assignments of the highest degree of difficulty requiring unique and non-routine methods. Individual should have the ability to recommend a solution when conditions are less than ideal, while providing guidance and training to less experienced Opticians.

Required Skills:

  • Must be proficient in reading and comprehending blueprints
  • Must have 5 years hands-on experience in high accuracy flat optics
  • Knowledge of Blanchard grinders, surface grinders, and lapping machines is a plus
  • Manufacturing software experience
  • Bilingual-English /Spanish is a plus
