Monolithic Interferometer™

The revolutionary new PLX Monolithic Interferometer combines all of the optical elements of a high-resolution Michelson Interferometer assembly into a single, extremely stable, monolithic unit. Designed primarily for OEM applications, the PLX Monolithic Interferometer never needs to be adjusted once installed in a system - a major advantage over traditional screw-mounted interferometer assemblies.

Its monolithic structure makes our interferometer invariant to conditions of shock, vibration and temperature change. All components are made from the same material and fused together using our proprietary technology to ensure the same CTE throughout. The new PLX Monolithic Interferometer features a double pass broad-band configuration with one hollow retroreflector for high-resolution applications, such as UV and near-IR FT spectroscopy.
